Hi young readers!

Have you ever wanted to hang out with me for a week and learn all about my comic making process? Well, if you are between the ages of 14-17, you’ll get just that opportunity! I am teaching a week-long comic course for Maine Media Workshops in Rockport, Maine, from July 14-July 20.

Registration is open now for teens ages 14-17 from ANYWHERE: the Maine Media Workshops are a residency program for aspiring artists and filmmakers to spend a portion of their summer in Maine learning new skills and honing their craft. This is the course description for my comics workshop:

“You’ll spend a week learning about comics with award-winning graphic novelist, Liz Prince! Learn the basics of cartooning, sequential storytelling, page design, and basic post-production with an emphasis on personal narrative. This class will include skill shares on drawing techniques, making use of both visual and written language, and even tips on how to print and distribute your own comics! This week-long workshop is open to all skill levels, and will culminate in the production of your very own class anthology booklet.”

You can find more information about Maine Media Workshops + College HERE, and I hope to see some of you in July!
