Hi everybody! I’m really excited to officially announce the Alone Forever art tour! Several bookstores and coffee shops have offered up their walls for the month of February to hang prints of Alone Forever comics. At all of these locations you can view and purchase strips from Alone Forever: The Singles Collection, and some of them have more surprises in store as well. Let’s start the tour, shall we?
1. CAMBRIDGE, MA – LOREM IPSUM BOOKS:
This is the only stop on the tour that I have been personally involved in, because it is the only one that is local to me. That being said, I hung the show on Wednesday, and I think it looks really good! Lorem Ipsum is a great used bookstore in Inman Sq. that also houses the fabulous Papercut Zine Library. As such, you can not only view and purchase the Alone Forever prints, but you can also buy copies of Alone Forever, my self published book I Swallowed The Key To My Heart, and my Zines Are the Most Important tote bags. I had also designed a shirt/patch for Papercut which I believe they still have copies of, so really, this art show stop is an all-encompassing Liz Prince mini-mart. Please stop by anytime in February, but especially on Sunday February 2nd, when Papercut is doing a sale of de-catalogued zines and comics!
2. BETHEL, CT – MOLTEN JAVA
My pals at Pocket Cat! Records set up this art show at Molten Java, and they are having a concert on Valentine’s Day as an opening for the show, complete with a raffle where you can win a print from the comic! Sadly, I will not be in attendance at the show (it is the weekend that I am in LA for the Zine Fest), but I will certainly be there in spirit, staring at you through my comics on the wall! My art will be up from February 1st -28th.
3. LANCASTER, PA – SQUARE ONE COFFEE
A friend in Lancaster set me up at Square One Coffee, the official opening of the show is February 7th for First Friday! Please join them for the gallery walk festivities! The show will be up until March 6th, and like the others, prints are for sale!!
4. LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM – ORBITAL COMICS
Honor of all honors, Orbital Comics is displaying over 30 prints from Alone Forever and other assorted comic projects, from February 16th- March 9th. They are also the only place you can get the super limited edition Alone Forever bookplate, designed just for them, 200 printed, signed and numbered. I will not be in attendance at the show, because it is in London and I’m comic artist, not a billionaire, but please go see it if you’re one of my readers over the pond.
