Hi friends!  It’s been pretty quiet on the news front of this website lately, and for that I apologize, but I’m here now with an exciting announcement!

My first creator-owned comic series, Coady and the Creepies, is coming out from Boom! Studios on March 15th!  It’s written by me and illustrated by your new favorite artist (Nation of) Amanda Kirk!  It’s a 4 issue miniseries about a touring teenage punk band made up of triplet sisters with a supernatural twist!  I hope you’ll pick it up when you see it on your comic shop shelves!  Here’s a page from issue 1!

I know, you’re probably all wishing it would hurry up and be March 15th already, but if you’re planning on attending Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle next week, you can pick up the first issue a full two weeks before everyone else!  I’ll be at the Boom! booth (1002 on the skybridge) all weekend signing copies of the book.  You can also get the exclusive ECCC cover drawn by me and painted by Amanda at the show!

And as if that wasn’t reason enough to come out to the show, we’ll also have advance copies of my new comic collection from Silver Sprocket, Be Your Own Backing Band!  BYOBB collects my comics about music from If You Make It and Razorcake magazine in one handsome volume!

I’ll also being some panels during the show, so if you’d like to hear me talk about these various books show up to:
